Tell City Officials: I Support Safe, Connected Bikeways in the 7th Ward, Tremé, Mid-City & Gentilly

As part of Moving New Orleans Bikes, the City is currently building 75 miles of connected, low-stress bikeway networks across Orleans Parish. These Complete Streets improvements, including parking-protected bikeways and bike/walk-friendly boulevards, will create more safety and less stress for everyone on the road - people walking, biking, driving and riding transit. Construction for Moving New Orleans Bikes in the 7th Ward, Tremé, Mid-City & Gentilly is currently underway!

By the end of the year, because of Moving New Orleans Bikes, residents of every age and skill level will be able to enjoy safe, low-stress rides between these historic neighborhoods, as well as to jobs and destinations downtown. Every resident in the 7th Ward, Tremé, Mid-City & Gentilly will have new low-stress commuting options by bike from their home to a job in the CBD or French Quarter, all on protected bikeways and bike/walk-friendly boulevards.

I support the Moving New Orleans ‘low-stress’ bikeway network being built in the 7th Ward, Tremé, Mid-City & Gentilly! I’m excited for more safe and active streets connecting my neighborhood to nearby parks, shopping areas, schools, levee trails, ferry terminals, friends in other neighborhoods, bars and restaurants, jobs and opportunities.

Protected bikeways, high-visibility crosswalks, repaired sidewalks and new traffic signals will bring more safety and less stress to 7th Ward, Tremé, Mid-City & Gentilly streets, benefiting the entire community -- people walking, biking, driving and riding public transit.
